Terms and Conditions

A legal disclaimer

Welcome to Paws and Minds. By accessing this website, submitting a form, booking a service, or purchasing any service through Paws and Minds, you agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined below.

Please read these Terms carefully before using this website or booking services.

Please read the following terms:

1. Services

Paws and Minds provides pet care, dog training, boarding, daycare, grooming, walking, drop-in care, in-home sitting, consultations, and related services.

Specific services, pricing, availability, and requirements may vary based on the dog, household, schedule, location, temperament, coat condition, behavior history, and service type requested.

Paws and Minds reserves the right to refuse, modify, or discontinue services at any time if a service is not appropriate, safe, available, or suitable for the dog, client, staff, or home environment.

2. Website Use

By using this website, you agree not to misuse the website, submit false information, attempt to interfere with the website’s functionality, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. While we do our best to keep information accurate and up to date, Paws and Minds does not guarantee that all website content, pricing, service descriptions, or availability will always be current, complete, or error-free.

3. Booking & Service Requests

Submitting a contact form, booking request, consultation request, or payment does not automatically guarantee service availability or acceptance.

All services are subject to confirmation by Paws and Minds. We may require additional information before confirming a booking, including but not limited to dog behavior history, vaccination records, health information, emergency contacts, care instructions, and signed service agreements or waivers.

Paws and Minds reserves the right to decline service for any reason, including but not limited to safety concerns, aggression, severe anxiety, medical concerns, lack of proper vaccination records, or services requested outside of our capacity.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and updated information about their dog, including health conditions, medications, allergies, behavior concerns, bite history, reactivity, anxiety, triggers, training history, and any other information that may affect care or safety.

Clients are also responsible for ensuring their dog is current on required vaccinations and preventative care, unless otherwise discussed and approved by Paws and Minds.

Failure to disclose important health, behavior, or safety information may result in cancellation of services without refund.

5. Dog Health, Safety & Behavior

While Paws and Minds takes reasonable precautions to provide a safe and caring environment, working with animals carries inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, injury, illness, stress, escape, dog-to-dog conflict, property damage, allergic reactions, behavioral incidents, or emergency veterinary situations.

By booking services, the client acknowledges and accepts these risks.

Paws and Minds is not responsible for injuries, illness, behavioral changes, or incidents that occur due to undisclosed information, pre-existing conditions, unpredictable animal behavior, or circumstances outside of our reasonable control.

6. Training Results

Dog training results vary based on the dog, owner participation, consistency, environment, temperament, behavior history, and follow-through after training sessions.

Paws and Minds does not guarantee specific training outcomes, behavioral changes, or timelines. Training recommendations are provided to support progress, but long-term success depends heavily on consistent owner involvement and continued reinforcement.

7. Boarding, Daycare & In-Home Care

For boarding, daycare, in-home sitting, walks, drop-ins, or related care services, clients agree to provide all necessary supplies, instructions, emergency contact information, veterinary information, and any relevant details needed for proper care.

Paws and Minds may separate, restrict, or modify a dog’s activities if needed for safety, behavior, health, or stress management.

If a dog becomes ill, injured, aggressive, highly stressed, destructive, or otherwise unsafe during care, Paws and Minds may contact the client, emergency contact, or veterinarian and may modify or end services as needed.

8. Veterinary Care & Emergencies

In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, Paws and Minds will make reasonable efforts to contact the client or emergency contact.

If the client cannot be reached, the client authorizes Paws and Minds to seek veterinary care when reasonably necessary for the dog’s health or safety.

The client is responsible for all veterinary costs, emergency care costs, transportation costs, medication costs, and related expenses incurred on behalf of the dog.

9. Payments, Pricing & Fees

Pricing may vary based on service type, dog size, coat condition, temperament, behavior needs, travel distance, holidays, extended care time, and other factors.

Payment terms will be provided at the time of booking or invoicing. Services may require payment in advance, deposits, or full payment before service begins.

Paws and Minds reserves the right to update pricing, fees, packages, memberships, and service terms at any time.

Travel fees, holiday rates, extended stay charges, add-on services, late pickup fees, cancellation fees, or other applicable charges may apply.

10. Packages, Memberships & Expiration

Training packages, daycare packages, memberships, and bundled services may be subject to expiration dates, usage limits, scheduling availability, and specific service terms.

Unused services may not be refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

Memberships or recurring services may be subject to separate billing terms and cancellation requirements.

11. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund policies may vary by service type.

Clients are responsible for providing reasonable notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a service. Late cancellations, no-shows, holiday bookings, extended care reservations, or reserved boarding/daycare dates may be non-refundable or subject to cancellation fees.

Refunds are not guaranteed and are handled at the discretion of Paws and Minds unless otherwise required by law.

12. Photos, Videos & Media

Unless the client requests otherwise in writing, Paws and Minds may take photos or videos of pets during services for client updates, website use, social media, marketing, or promotional purposes.

No personal client information will be intentionally shared without consent.

Clients may opt out of photo or video use by notifying Paws and Minds in writing.
